It was the middle of July Disposed of our days and dollars how we pleased Cause they say that all good things must come to an end But it's not time to turn out the lights Just along for the ride, And I don't know exactly where we're going I don't have a map to keep us going on this path Lets hit the road and we'll figure out the rest And Of course you were by my side Still here on the roller coaster that is us Don't ask me what to call this, Cause I don't know And I think the mystery is better anyway I'm Just along for the ride And I don't know exactly where we're going I don't have a map to keep us going on this path Lets hit the road

Complacency 04:01
A good man once said, If your hand causes you to do wrong then cut it off. Because its better to be alive in pieces than dead as a whole. Well I've seen that complacency is just the same Letting someone else do the damage While you reap the reward you'll wake up alone beaten up on the floor and I won't be there to help you anymore You'll wake up all alone He'll come knocking at your door and I won't be there to help you anymore Well now don't get angry because i've told you your sins I'm not on a higher horse than you I do the same But I try to better myself every day That I'm on this earth And if you let yourself get dragged down You'll be lost

I'm really great at making bad decisions I'm really great at falling backwards I'm really great at making up excuses I'm really great at changing for a day or two and It just keeps dragging me down I'm really great at blowing all my money I'm really great at pretending that I don't know I'm really great at saying that I'm okay I'm really great at living in a panic And it just keeps dragging me down i'm really great at changing my mind I'm really great at blaming it all on you i'm really great at changing my words I'm really great at lying too And it just keeps dragging me down.
4.
I've gone and screwed it up again And i'm still here on someone else's couch Wondering why So I went home, got drunk, and did the dishes It was the only thing left that made any sense And I didn't wonder why I said that I'm okay I promise I'm fine I said that I'm okay I promise I'm fine but you won't believe me till I force that useless smile You'll wonder why Wondering why
5.
Snow drifting down the pale gray sky And I was thinking about the past The lights twinkle on all the houses but soon they'll be gone again It's these mornings I realize how the world never stops Even when I'm dying inside I just can't give up So it goes. So I guess I'll go back to sleep for a while Dream of you and lord I hope it doesn't last We we're both broken inside Endlessly sharing two different kinds of love It's these mornings I realize how the world never stops Even when I'm dying inside I just can't give up So it goes. So it goes.
